I am a T32 postdoctoral fellow in the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research aims to promote health equity among vulnerable populations such as racial/ethnic minoritized families with young children. Specifically, I examine ways secular contemplative practices (e.g., mindfulness) can be used as an in-the-moment emotion regulation strategy to enhance positive family well-being, relationship quality, and resilience. Importantly, in collaboration with local communities, I use an iterative process, such as a community-based participatory approach, to tailor and adapt mindfulness-based programs to meet the diverse population’s needs and to ensure the cultural relevance of the program content
